Brass ensemble to perform at Derry Church

Tim Zimmerman and the King's Brass will present hymn classics with a contemporary flair at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 7, in the sanctuary at Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 E. Derry Road, Hershey. The concert is part of the church's 2024 Arts Alive! cultural series.

The King's Brass, formed more than four decades ago in Detroit, consists of professional musicians from across the country who desire to use their musical talents to lead others in praise and worship. Based in Fort Wayne, Ind., the group plays more than 150 concerts per year from coast to coast as well as international destinations. The King's Brass' repertoire features classical music, hymns, jazz spirituals, patriotic marches, and more, and its original arrangements are featured on 19 recordings. Secular and sacred music critics have described the ensemble's concerts as "superb in every way," "innovative and well played," and "Truly, an unforgettable experience!"
