The Senior Connections group will meet at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown, on Friday, June 7, at noon.

Following a homemade lunch, guest speaker Donna Joy Jones of Hatfield will share a presentation titled "The Joy of Butterflies." During the COVID lockdown and while experiencing the anxiety of those times, Jones donated one of her kidneys to a person in need after which she hosted a "butterfly release" to praise God for the gift of life.

Since then, Jones has enjoyed raising butterflies and writing "Expressions of Faith Stories." She serves as a full-time direct care worker supporting individuals with learning disabilities, emotional distress and behavior issues.

Senior Connections is open to all seniors age 55 and over. Meetings are generally held on the second Thursday of each month, but June's meeting has been scheduled to accommodate the guest speaker.
