Welsh Mountain Home marks 100th anniversary

Welsh Mountain Home celebrated its 100-year anniversary with a garden party on June 25. More than 130 community members, residents, family members, and supporters gathered for the event.

The party, held in a decorated garden setting on the grounds of the personal care home, featured hors d'oeuvres and presentations. Angela Eichelberger, a member of state Sen. Scott Martin's staff, presented Frey with a certificate marking the milestone anniversary.

Welsh Mountain Home also unveiled a display tracing its history and evolution, and attendees had the opportunity to take a tour that showcased some of the newly renovated spaces within the home. In addition, donations were gathered to directly benefit resident care.
