PCA&D-York posts First Friday show

Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) will offer a First Friday gallery show on Aug. 2 featuring works by The Agency, PCA&D's student-run and student-led marketing and branding initiative. The items to be displayed were created on behalf of four York-area nonprofit organizations. The show will take place at PCA&D-York, 133 S. Duke St., York, with a VIP reception from 4 to 5 p.m. and a public show opening from 5 to 6 p.m.

The Agency worked through May and June on projects for York Fresh Food Farms, the YBA Workforce NOW Foundation, Tabby Trappers PA, and Friends and Neighbors of Pennsylvania. Mockups of the completed work for these nonprofits, and some for PCA&D itself, will be displayed, and a selection of mockups will be presented in a slideshow. Process books will be on display as well, outlining some of the sketches, comps, and methods used to create the final works, giving visitors a peek into the process and effort involved in the designs.

The Agency's summer cohort members included creative director Bailey Stechman, Class of 2025, graphic design; assistant creative director Logan Byer, Class of 2026, design thinking; and Agency members Warren Burke, Class of 2025, graphic design; Onix Guadalupe Rivera, Class of 2025, illustration; and Cole Zajdel, Class of 2025, illustration. Former PCA&D Career Development Fellows Alexia Eggleston and Jasmyn Stokes, both members of the Class of 2023, served as site supervisors, with PCA&D faculty member Ellie Cochran as instructor of record.
