Senior Connections will meet at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown, on Thursday, Aug. 8. A meal will be served at noon, after which guest speaker Raymonda Samawi will present "From the Darkness to the Light."

A former Muslim who converted to Christianity, Samawi is now a professional dressmaker. She established a nonprofit organization called Come To Me Ministries, which sends containers of dry food, medical supplies, sewing machines and fabrics to Iraq and Lebanon.

All seniors age 55 and older are invited to attend.
