Vinegar Creek Constituency will be featured during Music on the Lawn on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. The band's music features elements of bluegrass, early swing, outlaw country, and ragtime.

Tickets may be purchased in advance, or they may be purchased at the door with cash or a credit card. Admission is free for children age 17 and under and LancasterHistory members.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, foldable chairs, and picnics. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Restrooms are available on-site.

In the event of inclement weather, the decision will be made at noon on the day of the concert, and ticketholders will be notified. The rain date is the following day from 1 to 3 p.m.

The Friends of the Tanger Arboretum will host "Wine and Cheese and a Walk in the Trees" on Friday, Sept. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Carriage House patio rain or shine. Attendees may enjoy drinks and light bites while taking a stroll through the Tanger Arboretum. The event will also include a brief presentation about the Tanger Arboretum as well as tours of the arboretum led by members throughout the evening.

The ticket purchasing deadline is Friday, Aug. 30; those calling for tickets should select ext. 133. Ticket purchase includes access to the event, beverages, and appetizers. The event is free for Friends of the Tanger Arboretum members.

Attendees must be 21 or older to consume alcoholic beverages. Non-alcoholic options will be available.

The Buchanan Sisters, a special living history tour of Wheatland, will be available on Saturday, Sept. 7. Tours will be available on the hour beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until the last tour at 3 p.m. Visitors will learn how James Buchanan's nieces, Annie, Harriet, and Henrietta Buchanan, forged new life paths that ran counter to the traditional expectations for 19th-century women. Re-enactors portraying the sisters will chat about beaus, fashion, and life goals.

Advance reservations are recommended as tours may sell out, and walk-in tickets may not be available. Members will receive complimentary admission, but they must reserve their tickets in advance.

LancasterHistory is open on Mondays through Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tours of Wheatland are available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Research Center is open on Wednesdays to Saturdays for appointments between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
