Helix Strategies president and founder Ivy Buchan will offer insights on nonprofit strategic planning at a Lunch & Learn event hosted by the Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce (SLCCC). The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Moor Indoor Range and Training Center, 2488 Willow Street Pike, Lancaster.

Buchan will present "7 Tips for a Strategic Plan," offering advice for a productive and smooth strategic planning process and best practices for engaging board members, gathering stakeholder input, and organizing goals and tasks.

Buchan was also recently the guest speaker at the Nonprofit Community Benefit Organization Roundtable hosted by the Lancaster Chamber and Lancaster County Community Foundation on Aug. 7.

Buchan is a state and national licensed consultant in nonprofit management best practices and is a master trainer through the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She earned her doctorate in administration and leadership studies in the nonprofit sector from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

She founded Helix Strategies in 2017 after more than 20 years of nonprofit experience. Helix works with nonprofits to develop strategic solutions to fundraising and leadership challenges.
