The New Holland Lions Club will hold a food drive on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place in honor of Marty Waldrop, a longtime friend to the New Holland Lions Club. Waldrop also led the food bank at Trinity Lutheran Church before its management was transferred to CrossNet Ministries.

In addition, the Lions Club will host a ham stand at the New Holland Fair from Wednesday to Saturday, Oct. 2 to 5.

New members Denise Wolff, Richard Wolff, and Dennis Scritchfield were inducted at the club's June meeting, and the club recently selected new officers for the 2024-25 club year.

James Bronson received the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in 2024.

The New Holland Lions Club meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. at Yoder's Restaurant, 14 S. Tower Road, New Holland.
