Disaster relief sale posted

Mountville Church of the Brethren, 60 Clay St., Mountville, will hold a disaster relief sale on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. rain or shine. Proceeds will benefit the annual Disaster Relief Auction held at the Lebanon Fairgrounds. Since 1977, the auctions have provided help whenever and wherever disasters have occurred.

On the lawn, visitors will find items such as baked goods, produce, plants, costume jewelry, books and puzzles for people of all ages, craft items, housewares, and food and drinks. Some items will be offered for a set price and some by donation. Cash only will be accepted for payment.

A silent auction will take place inside the church at the same time. The items have been donated by church members, and some are handmade, including a stained glass hanging, wood crafts, photo art, filled baskets, a ride in a classic REO with lunch at the Brickerville House, and a cheesesteak party for 12.
