Program to focus on climate change

New Holland Mennonite Church, 18 Western Ave., New Holland, will host a presentation about climate change on Thursday, Sept. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Keith Miller, a geologist with expertise in climate science, will answer questions such as "What is the evidence for any human impact on climate?" and "What changes are happening now and what can we expect in the future?"

Miller is a retired geology professor from Kansas State University and a recent adjunct faculty member at Messiah University. Now residing in Morgantown, he is a member of New Holland Mennonite Church. His teaching and research interests have been in reconstructing the past climates of the Earth from rock and fossil records and understanding the various processes that control Earth's climate. Understanding these processes can help researchers to see how human actions can impact climate.

There will be a question-and-answer time. The presentation is free of charge.
