The program is open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

Crafting Kombucha and Kefir will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The instructor will share step-by-step instructions for creating two probiotic-rich beverages. Attendees will learn how to transform sweet tea into tangy kombucha, along with flavoring and carbonation techniques to customize a brew. They will learn about culturing water kefir grains and mastering the art of secondary fermentation to create water kefir, an alternative to traditional sodas. Participants will leave the class with jars of initiated kombucha and water kefir, a kombucha SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast), and water kefir grains.
