Piercing Word will present its original production "Sermon on the Mount: The Musical!" at Florin Church of the Brethren, 815 Bruce Ave., Mount Joy, at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.

Audiences will witness Jesus' most famous sermon set to original music. In this word-for-word presentation of Matthew 5-7, Jesus describes what life is like in the Kingdom of God. Contrasted with the legalistic society of his day, Jesus helps to explain that man sees the outward appearance while God looks at the heart.

Piercing Word performs Scripture in dramatic and musical presentations, word-for-word from the ESV Bible. The group, a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), Christian ministry based in Lancaster, has been performing Scripture across the country since 2007. Piercing Word challenges people to memorize the Word of God for themselves and then equips them to do so through its Warriors of the Word Bible memorization resources.
