Library posts programs

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, Hellam, will offer programs and services to the community. For details and registration, call the library at 717-252-4080 or visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library will be at the library to accept donations of books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and jigsaw puzzles on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from noon to 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

KCL's upcoming programs include Baby and Toddler Story Time for children from birth to age 3 on Wednesdays, Nov. 6 and 13, and Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 to 5 on Fridays, Nov. 8 and 15. These programs will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., and reservations are required.

A Fall Family Story Time will be held at Chick-fil-A, 2801 E. Market St., York, from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.

The Silent Reading Group, for people age 13 and up, will meet on Nov. 7 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. The program will include trivia, refreshments, reading, and discussion about books.

Builder's Club, for kids ages 6 to 12, will be offered on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The Danger Club for tweens ages 9 to 11 will meet on Nov. 12 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Library Squad will not meet in November.

The Spoiler Alert! teen book review group will meet via Zoom on Nov. 7 from 5 to 6 p.m. Reservations are requested.

Birdie the therapy dog will visit the library to help youths ages 12 to 18 de-stress on Nov. 21 from 5 to 6 p.m.

Manga Book Club for youths ages 12 to 18 will take place on Nov. 16 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. This program will occur after the library is closed to the public. Only youths attending this program will be allowed inside.

Teen Crime Solvers will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon. Teens will examine evidence to solve a crime. Fifteen participants are needed.

Stitch and Chat groups, for knitters and crocheters, will meet on Nov. 7 and 21 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and on Tuesdays, Nov. 5 and 19, from 1 to 2:45 p.m.

Reiki Meditation with Miranda will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library will hold its fall online auction in November. Bids will be accepted from Nov. 2 at 8 a.m. to Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. Proceeds will support the library. The auction flyer is available at the library's front desk.

The Tween and Teen Leadership groups will host jumbo Candy Land for people of all ages on Nov. 2. The drop-in activity will be available from 2 to 5 p.m. Attendees may collect candy and meet the Candy Land characters, as well as characters from various books. No reservations are required.

York Chess Club, for people of all ages, will be held on Nov. 5, 12, and 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The One for the Money Book Discussion, focused on "The Four Winds" by Kristin Hannah, will occur on Nov. 7 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

The Green Thumb Garden Club will meet on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Directed by Melanie Markowski, the program will be a make-and-take holiday mini evergreen arrangement.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library will meet on Nov. 19 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The Cookbook Group will meet on Nov. 21 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a sweet or savory dish based on the theme "Healthy Eating," along with a copy of the recipe.
