Library posts programs

The Quarryville Library, 357 Buck Road, Quarryville, has scheduled activities. When requested, patrons may register for events by visiting http://www.quarryvillelibrary.org or calling 717-786-1336.

The library will host a craft fair on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Community members may browse a variety of crafts, including jewelry, art, and many kinds of needlecrafts.

A Trivia Night hosted by quiz bowl veteran Phil Gruber will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m. Prizes and refreshments will be offered. The event is best suited to adults and teens. Registration is requested.

Artist Ed Klein will instruct attendees on the basics of cartooning during a program on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 4:30 p.m. Participants will learn to caricature the world around them, create original cartoons, and draw their favorite cartoon characters. The program is for youths ages 7 to 16. Registration is requested.

Adam Zurn, founder of Uncharted Lancaster, will present "The Petroglyphs of Uncharted Lancaster" on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. Zurn will recount his expeditions down the Susquehanna River to explore the Native American petroglyphs hidden on the river at Safe Harbor. The program is for adults and older children. Registration is requested.
