Seniors of the Month honored

Brayden Fox and Alyssa Duong have been selected as Seniors of the Month for October at Manheim Central High School. The Women's Club of Manheim sponsors the Girls of the Month, and the Rotary Club of Manheim sponsors the Boys of the Month. The Seniors of the Month are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character, and involvement within the school and community.

Brayden, 17, is the son of Keith and Jennifer Fox of Manheim. He is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, German Honor Society, Interact Club, and German club. He attends youth group at Manheim Brethren in Christ Church, is a student leader for the church's middle school youth group, and helps coach Manheim Christian Day School's middle school boys' basketball team. Brayden plans to attend Messiah University to major in engineering.

Alyssa, 17, is the daughter of Candice and Van Duong of Manheim. She is co-president of the Inclusion and Diversity Club, co-president of Amnesty International club, and a member of Baron Nation Network/BNN Club and Math Honor Society. She is an Attollo Prep Scholar, attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference, and won the Baron Spotlight Award in Social Studies. As a member of the Interact Club, Alyssa has volunteered at Brittany's Hope's event at the Star Barn, the Pleasant View Communities prom, Blessings of Hope, Home on Ferdinand, and the Manheim Community Library's book sale. Alyssa plans to attend college to study business.
