St. Luke's posts holiday bazaar

St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 22 S. Sixth St., Lebanon, will host its annual holiday bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 23, the same day as the Lebanon Holiday Parade. The bazaar will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A lunch of hot sandwiches and soups will be available in the fellowship hall on the lower level of the parish hall. The Bazaar Marketplace on the main level will offer Polly's Pantry, featuring homemade jams, jellies, salsa, and other delicacies; the Sweet Shoppe, offering homemade candy, cookies, pies, breads, and other items; a used book sale; and a chance to win themed giveaway drawing baskets. A Children's Corner will offer activities for kids. Parents are invited to bring their children from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for free photos with Santa using their own camera or smartphone. The church will be open to tour, and live music will be presented throughout the event.

"St. Luke's is proud to be a part of downtown Lebanon, and this bazaar has become a great way to connect with our neighbors," said Steve Doster, senior warden of the church. "It also helps us raise funds to support both our parish ministries and those in the wider community."

A team of parishioners has worked to transform the church auditorium into a holiday wonderland, ready for the display of treats and gifts. This year the team had help from members of Boy Scout Troop 20 of Myerstown.

Visitors may enter the church from Sixth Street. The buildings are accessible for those with mobility challenges by way of the newly renovated Chestnut Street entrance and an elevator in the rear of the church that provides access to all levels.
