Holiday festivities set in Hummelstown

Santa Claus will arrive in Hummelstown on Sunday, Dec. 8, for the annual Hummelstown Holiday Happenings celebration, hosted by the Hummelstown Business and Professional Association. The town will be decked out in full holiday splendor.

The jolly old elf will make his entrance at 1 p.m., arriving on a fire truck at the Hummelstown Square. From there, he will listen to the holiday wishes of children from 1 to 5 p.m.

Local businesses will open their doors for holiday-themed activities throughout the day. Kids can get creative with ornament-making and craft stations, decorate holiday cookies, or listen to holiday readings. Meanwhile, adults can take advantage of exclusive shopping specials and enjoy festive refreshments at participating local shops.

The Hershey Trolley Works trolley will offer rides through town from 2 to 4 p.m.

The celebration will culminate in the Christmas tree lighting at 5:30 p.m., sponsored by the Hummelstown Community Foundation. Santa, alongside Mayor David Roeting and Miss Hummelstown 2025, Emerson Reeder, will flip the switch to light up the tree, followed by a carol sing-along led by the Hummelstown Community Singers and music by Zion Brass.
