Rachel Nolt - Age 12 - East Earl

The Christmas Story

Long ago a child was born

In a stable so forlorn.

He grew up with love and care.

He was not mean or unfair.

When He grew to be a man

He did follow the Lord’s plan.

He healed many sick + lame.

He gave life to a young dame.

He was mocked before a crowd

But He did not cry out loud.

He then on the cross was slain.

He alone bore all the pain.

He arose on the third day.

Just as the prophet’s did say.

He had finished up His work.

So He left this world of murk.

He didn’t do it just for me

He also did it for thee.

So greatly did He us love

That He came down from above

So when you’re ’bout discouraged

Just think of Jesus’ courage.

He didn’t ever from me turn

Yet hoped I would from him learn.
