Wentz named to All-Atlantic and All-PSAC teams

Dana Wentz of Leola was named to the Second Team All-Atlantic Region by the United Soccer Coaches (USC). It was the second time she received this honor.

She was also selected for the All-Conference Second Team East Division in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Wentz is one of three members of the Kutztown University women's soccer team to receive the PSAC honor; three additional members of the squad were named to the First Team. The selections were announced on Nov. 14. The recognition marked Wentz's third All-PSAC Team recognition.

The outside defender started all 23 games this season and started in 84 of her 85 games played in her career. She scored her first career goal in a 3-1 victory over West Chester on Oct. 2. The presence of Wentz on the back line of one of the strongest defensive units in the conference has often forced opposing players to consider a different route to the goal.

Kutztown capped off its season with a 12-5-6 record that included a pair of upset victories in the PSAC Championships and a 2-1 win over Charleston in the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship.

Wentz is an alumna of Conestoga Valley High School. She is a graduate student at Kutztown.
