Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, will host an exhibit showcasing the artworks of Gladys Zeiset. The show will debut with a reception on Thursday, Feb. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m., and refreshments will be provided. The exhibit will remain on display through April.

Zeiset, a primarily self-taught local artist, has explored her craft over many years through observation, workshops, and visits to galleries and shows. Her diverse body of artworks includes chalk talks, murals, and commissioned pieces, with a focus on floral and still-life compositions, outdoor scenes, animals, and birds. While she initially worked with oils, Zeiset now primarily uses acrylics.

A longtime participant in the Lititz Art Show and the Landis Woods Art Show, Zeiset has also displayed and sold her creations at art shows, at retirement communities, and directly from her home studio. For Zeiset, art has been both a creative outlet and a source of therapy as she cared for her two sons with special needs.
