Meeting to feature storyteller

The Solanco Historical Society will hold a program and meeting on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 1:30 p.m. at the organization's archives building, 1932 Robert Fulton Highway (Route 222), Quarryville. Storyteller Jack Brown will share tales of colorful characters and family adventures.

Brown, 97, is an Army veteran who served at the end of World War II. He has lived in Solanco since 1949 after marrying a local girl. He built his own house on Robert Fulton Highway while working in commercial construction management. He retired from Warfel Construction in 2000.

The gathering is free and open to the public.
