Shoppers invited to Mission Thrift Shop

The Mission Thrift Shop, a ministry of Millersville Community Church (MCC), is located in the back parking lot of 163 W. Frederick St. in Millersville. The thrift shop collects and sells gently used housewares and clothing for people of all ages.

The thrift shop's mission is to distribute the proceeds of sales to other nonprofit organizations. In December, donations were given to the following nonprofits: The HUB; LUMINA; Millersville Area Meals on Wheels; missionaries in Romania; Love INC of Lancaster County; Columbia Food Bank; Glad Tidings India; Cancer Care; The Well; The Cottage; Samaritan's Purse; and MCC's Benevolence Fund, Garden of Grace, Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry. In 2024, more than $16,000 was distributed in total.

The shop is currently open to receive donations and for shopping on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Beginning on Thursday, March 13, the shop will also be open on Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m.
