The Mount Joy Lions Swim Team has opened registration for another summer of competitive swimming.

The team is open to swimmers from the Donegal and Elizabethtown communities and surrounding areas. The team seeks to provide opportunities for children to participate in competitive swimming while cultivating lifelong friendships, individual growth, and teamwork.

For more than 30 years, the team has been a part of the Lancaster Summer Swim League. The swim team season runs from mid-May through the end of July. The regular season consists of seven dual meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and a few optional invitational swim meets. The regular season concludes with a divisional championship meet, and then all Lancaster Summer Swim League teams gather for the league championship meet.

Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards without assistance before joining the team.
