Trainings for parents and kids set

RAISE28 will host two Reducing the Stress of Parents and Kids (RSPK) trainings at 105 Fairview St., Mount Joy.

One course will take place on Saturdays, March 1 and April 5. The other course will take place on Saturdays, May 24 and June 7. The trainings will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and lunch will be provided.

The program is open to all parents with children of any age; children age 10 and up may also register. Children under age 10 should not attend, and no child care will be provided.

One gift card per family will be awarded to parents who complete the training. To complete the training, parents will be asked to answer a 10-question test before the training, during the training, and 30 days following the training. The same questions will be asked on all three tests. The 30-day follow-up will be done by phone. Through the tests, organizers will seek to measure the change in participating families' stress levels.
