Class to focus on coffee

Jeffrey, owner of Mad Catter Coffee Roasters, will host "Coffee Basics: Cupping," a class designed for coffee enthusiasts eager to deepen their knowledge and refine their palate.

Attendees will take part in "Coffee 101 Basics," which will explore the origins of coffee, processing methods and roast levels; Taste the Difference, which will explore the unique flavors that result from different coffee processing methods and roast levels; and Cupping Techniques, which is how coffee professionals taste and evaluate coffee.

Cupping is a sensory experience where participants taste and compare various coffees to understand their distinct characteristics like aroma, acidity, body and flavor notes.

The event will take place at Lola Love Letter Creative Studio, located right below Trellis Marketplace, at 153 E. High St., Suite 102, in downtown Elizabethtown. Class will begin at noon. Attendees may purchase lunch upstairs at Groovy Bean Cafe before or after class.

There will be a class fee. To register, visit http://www.eventbrite.com and search for "Coffee Basics: Cupping Led by Jeffrey, Owner of Mad Catter Coffee Roasters."
