Students to display science projects

Students in grades six through 12 from Lancaster and Lebanon counties will present a diverse body of science projects at the North Museum Science and Engineering Fair (NMSEF) at Millersville University, 40 Dilworth Road, on Thursday, March 13. From 3 to 6:30 p.m., student projects will be on display for the public to view. The winners will be announced during an awards ceremony at 6:30 p.m.

The North Museum has been organizing the Science and Engineering Fair for 15 years, and 2025 marks the first year Lebanon County students are joining Lancaster County students in the event. The fair is open to students from public, private, charter, online, parochial, and home schools.

The 2025 NMSEF is projected to have 190 student competitors, and more than 75 expert judges from a wide cross section of local educational institutions and STEM focused businesses.

The competition is one of six fairs in Pennsylvania associated with the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), an international science competition for pre-college students. The top two students' projects from the NMSEF's senior division - the grand champion and the senior champion - earn a place at the ISEF to compete with 1,500 of their peers from around the world. The North Museum pays all registration fees as well as travel and accommodation expenses to provide the winning student competitors with this opportunity.
