Training program set for educators

Penn State Extension will present Dive Even Deeper: Watershed Literacy and Tree Plantings on Monday and Tuesday, April 28 and April 29, at Southeast Agricultural Research and Extension Center, 1446 Auction Road, Manheim. The program is for classroom teachers, school administrators, and other education partners serving Pennsylvania students in kindergarten through 12th grade. It is designed to equip educators with the tools and knowledge needed to create impactful environmental literacy experiences through the Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE) curricular framework.

The program is an extension of Penn State Extension's award-winning Dive Deeper Water Educators Summit. It is designed to further enhance attendees' understanding through an interactive session on tree species and planting protocols and a comprehensive checklist for planning successful planting projects.

The fee includes light refreshments and lunch each day. Space is limited, and registration is required by Monday, April 21, by visiting https://extension.psu.edu and searching for "Dive Even Deeper: Watershed Literacy and Tree Plantings." Act 48 credits are available.
