Each year, the Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce awards business scholarships to graduating seniors at Penn Manor, Lampeter-Strasburg, Solanco, and Pequea Valley high schools. Both public school and homeschooled students in these districts are welcome to apply. Higher education is not required.

Starting this year and continuing into the future, the scholarships will be for $750 rather than the previous $500. The scholarships are designed for students who are passionate about business ownership, and they aim to support those with entrepreneurial goals as they start and grow their own businesses. Funds can be used for business start-up expenses, such as web design, attorney fees, and purchasing equipment; college tuition; apprenticeship programs; and other costs.

To apply, visit https://southernlancasterchamber.org/scholarship/. Applications are due by Tuesday, April 15, and school districts will be notified of recipients by Thursday, May 1. Recipients will be recognized at the Chamber's member meeting on Thursday, June 12.
