Grand opening set at Barn & Hearth Shop

Since opening its doors in 1965, The Plain & Fancy Country Store has been a stop for visitors seeking authentic Lancaster County treasures, offering a selection of locally made goods, jams, jellies and keepsakes.

Now, as part of a grand 60th anniversary celebration, the store is starting a new chapter with a new name, updated look and expanded product selection. The store will now be known as The Barn & Hearth Shop.

To mark the milestone, The Barn & Hearth Shop will host its grand opening celebration on Tuesday, April 29, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., featuring a ribbon cutting with the Lancaster Chamber.

The event is free and open to the public. Guests will enjoy exclusive coupons, a chance to win a specially curated gift basket valued around $100, free samples of whoopie pies and cookies from Miller's Bakery and tastings of Miller's jams and Olio olive oils. There will be a special gift for the first 50 guests.

Located on the grounds of Plain & Fancy Farm, The Barn & Hearth Shop is part of a hub of Amish Country experiences, including AmishView Inn & Suites, Smokehouse BBQ & Brews, Aaron & Jessica's Buggy Rides and The Amish Experience.

The new Barn & Hearth Shop offers gifts, locally made foods, home accents, kitchen items, boutique accessories, clothing and handcrafted goods - many made in Lancaster County.

While the product lines have grown, guests will still find Lancaster County favorites, including Miller's Bakery treats, nostalgic sweets and candies, signature jams and dressings and olive oils from Olio Olive Oils & Balsamics. Later this summer, the store will also introduce an expanded selection of grab-and-go food items.

The Barn & Hearth Shop is located at 3121 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bird-in-Hand, at Plain & Fancy Farm. For more information, visit http://www.plainandfancyfarm.com.
