Collections," featuring poetry by James Sanders, was recently published by Prolific Press of Johnstown and can be purchased online. The poems are about ordinary people and events of daily life, with a strong emphasis on nature.

Sanders grew up in the Midwest and studied under Nancy Price, author of "Sleeping With the Enemy." After college, he was accepted into Northwestern University's Ph.D. program, which set him on a path as an Africa-area analyst for the U.S. government.

Later in life, he rekindled his love for the trumpet and found a new passion in writing poetry. He currently lives and writes in Elizabethtown.
