Seniors of the Month Receive Recognition

Nicholas Margerum and Hannah Brubaker have been selected as May's Seniors of the Month at Manheim Central High School.

The Girls of the Month are sponsored by the Manheim Women's Club and are recognized at the club's meeting, which includes a speaker, refreshments, and a recognition gift. The Boys of the Month are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manheim. Both students are invited to attend a luncheon at Pleasant View Town Square North held in the Hearth and Harrow dining room during the month they are chosen. Seniors of the Month are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character, and involvement within the school and community.

Nicholas, 18, is the son of Allen and Cassandra Margerum of Manheim. Nick plays the drums and is involved in marching band and Baron Stage. He received first honors awards in ninth, 10th, and 11th grades. He also marched in the Memorial Day parade and attended the memorial service in ninth, 10th, and 11th grades. Nick plans to attend Penn State University's main campus to pursue a bachelor's degree in music technology.

Hannah, 18, is the daughter of Chad and Kristina Brubaker of Manheim. Hannah is co-president of the German Club, co-president of the English Honor Society, and treasurer of the National Honor Society and Interact Club. She is also part of the Reading Olympics Team, Science Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and German Honor Society. She is a recipient of the National German Exam Scholarship and studied in Germany for three weeks. Hannah is also a National Merit Scholarship finalist. Hannah attends Manheim Brethren in Christ Church and helps teach prekindergarten Sunday school classes. Hannah plans to attend Liberty University to study accounting and data analysis.
