Worship and community service event planned

Local churches will hold a "Church Without Walls" worship service at the amphitheater at Elizabethtown Borough Community Park, 201 S. Mount Joy St., Elizabethtown, on Sunday, June 1.

The service will take place from 9 to 10:15 a.m. The Scripture passage will be Philippians 2:1-2, and Communion will be celebrated. Attendees should bring their own chairs and water and are advised to arrive early.

Following the service, attendees may participate in service projects in the community from 10:30 a.m. to noon. To sign up for a project, visit https://bit.ly/EtownServiceProjects.

Prayer for the community will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. There will be organized group prayer at the amphitheater, and prayer sheets will also be provided for individual prayer walks.

Food trucks will be on-site from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The trucks will include Piper Belles BBQ, Taco RV, Nano Burger, Scott's Sourdough Pizza, Funcky Candy X-press, Cool Summer Soft Serve Ice Cream, and Suzy Q's Espresso. Coffee, baked goods, and acai bowls will also be available.

In the case of rain, the service will be moved to the auditorium of Elizabethtown Area High School, 600 E. High St., Elizabethtown. The work projects will be rescheduled, and the food truck portion of the event will be canceled.
