Dice Named Student of the Month

Elizabethtown Area High School has recognized Benjamin Dice as the Elizabethtown Lions Club Student of the Month for April. This honor is awarded to Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) students in recognition of their work ethic, skill, and dedication to their chosen field.

Ben, the son of George and Amy Dice of Elizabethtown, is a senior in the welding program at the LCCTC - Mount Joy campus. He started at LCCTC as a junior in the intro to transportation program, but his interest soon shifted to welding, a skill he developed through projects with his grandfather. As a senior, he enrolled in the welding program and currently serves as shop foreman. His performance in the welding program earned him a recommendation for an advanced placement internship.

Outside the classroom, Ben is active in Boy Scouts and is working toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He also helps on his family's farm and supports a neighboring farm.

After graduation, Ben plans to pursue a career in the welding industry.
