June 8. Friends of Hopewell Furnace Program

Hopewell Furnace visitor center

2 Mark Bird Lane, Elverson, 2 p.m. Guest speaker will be Robert Donnelly, operations manager visitor and community engagement for Valley Forge National Historical Park. He will present a program on cannon production for the Continental Navy during the American Revolution. The program is free and open to the public.

June 6. Strawberry Festival

Honey Brook Presbyterian Church

4331 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Hot dogs and barbecue sandwiches will be available along with strawberries, cake and ice cream by donation only. There will also be face painting for children.

June 7. Strawberry Festival

St. Mary of Providence Center

227 Isabella Road, Elverson, noon to 5 p.m. There will be live music, entertainment, games, crafts, vendors and mansion tours. Available will be strawberry shortcake, chocolate dipped strawberries and strawberries with ice cream. Admission is free; a donation will be accepted for the mansion tours.

June 7. Chicken Barbecue

Goodwill United Methodist Church,

148 Church Road, Elverson, noon to 3 p.m. To reserve tickets, call 610-286-8924 or send a message on the church's Facebook page. Proceeds will benefit the Twin Valley Food Pantry. The church will collect nonperishable food items for the pantry during the event.

June 14. Drop-in Board and Card Games Club

June 21. Takeout Chicken Barbecue

St. Peter United Church of Christ

920 Ridge Road (Route 23), Knauertown, 3:30 to 6 p.m. The meal consists of a half-chicken, a baked potato, a vegetable, applesauce, a roll and dessert. For tickets, call 610-469-9690.
