Library Sets Schedule

The Friends of the Lititz Library Children's Book Sale will be held on Saturday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Members of the Blanketeers will gather to create blankets of various kinds for Project Linus on Tuesdays, July 1 and 15, at 2 p.m.

The library will offer several ongoing programs. These activities include Knitting Club, for knitters and crocheters, on Mondays, July 7 and 21, at 10 a.m. and Tuesdays, July 8 and 29, at 6 p.m.; Baked Books Club on July 8 at 2 p.m.; Beginner Tai Chi Easy on July 1 at 6:30 p.m.; Lititz Game Club, for players age 10 and older, on Wednesdays, July 2 and 16, at 4:30 p.m.; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on July 2 at 6 p.m.; Painting Club on Wednesdays, July 9 and 23, at 12:30 p.m.; Great Decisions Discussion Group on July 9 at 6:30 p.m.; Writing Club on July 21 at 1 p.m.; Red Rose Quilters Guild of Lancaster Embroidery Mini Group on July 23 at 1:30 p.m.; Sewcial Sewing Club on July 23 at 6 p.m.; Accessible Yoga with Black Cat Yoga on Friday, July 25, at 10 a.m.; and BYOB Book Club, for which attendees may bring whatever they are currently reading, on Thursday, July 31, at 2 p.m.

Grief Stories will be held on July 7 at 6 p.m. Grief Stories provides a space for hearing firsthand accounts of overcoming a tragic death and living with hope and purpose. The presentation will be about loss from overdose.

A Backyard Coffee Night with Tiff's Coffee Bar will be held on Thursday, July 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees may purchase coffee, play yard games, and enjoy opportunities to socialize.

The Anna Alexander Trio will present a free outdoor concert on Thursday, July 10, at 6:30 p.m. The band will perform jazz music and a few modern songs. Attendees should bring a blanket or chairs. In the event of bad weather, the concert will move inside.

Colorful Playtime, for children ages 1 to 2 with a caregiver, will take place on Monday, July 14, at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 a.m.

During the Paws to Read program, children may read stories to trained therapy dogs. The program will be offered on July 2 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.; July 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, July 24, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.; and Wednesday, July 30, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Book Buddies, for children age 3 and older, will be held on Tuesdays, July 1, 8, 15, and 22, at 10 a.m.

Wacky Wednesday will take place on July 16 at 1 p.m. Participants will hear a story and explore hands-on stations.

Yoga Kids with Black Cat Yoga, for children age 3 and older with a caregiver, will be held on Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m.

A Teen Painting Class, for youths ages 12 to 18, will be held on July 2 from 1 to 2 p.m. All supplies will be provided.

A Steam Train Demonstration, presented by the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, will take place on July 3 at 10 a.m. An instructor will demonstrate the physics of steam locomotion using a miniature working steam model.

An Afternoon at the Movies will be held on July 7 at 1 p.m. Families may enjoy a G-rated movie and popcorn.

An Author/Illustrator Visit, for children age 3 and older, will take place on July 9 at 10 a.m. Children's author Hillary Daecher and illustrator Angie Hohenadel will read their books, "Soar" and "The Nightmare Bug."

A Pottery Demonstration, for people age 8 and older, will be held on July 10 at 1 p.m.

Burble, Fizz, Kaboom! will be held on Thursday, July 17, at 6:30 p.m. The show, presented by Rand Whipple, will mix chemical reactions, solutions, molecules, and phase changes with a good sense of humor. The program is for children ages 5 to 11.

A Duct Tape Craft, for people age 9 and older, will be offered on Friday, July 18, at 1 p.m. Supplies will be provided.

Learning Robotics with Arts and Crafts, for youths ages 10 to 14, will take place on Mondays, July 21 and 28, at 6 p.m. Participants will explore the basics of robotics through hands-on projects.

Andy Armadillo Storytime will be held on July 21 at 10 a.m. Children age 3 and older may join and dress up as a cowboy or cowgirl.

Phredd Ukulele One Man Band will present a concert for children age 3 and older on July 23 at 6 p.m.

The Jane Austen Society of Lancaster County will meet on July 15 at 6:30 p.m.

The Genealogy Club will meet on July 16 at 6:30 p.m.

Stenciled Book Edges Art will be offered on July 24 at 6 p.m. The class is open to adults, and all materials will be provided. Participants may bring their own book or choose from books provided by the library.

Raven Ridge will present a program for people age 3 and older on July 29 at 10 a.m.
