Library Plans Celebration

The Manheim Township Public Library, 595 Granite Run Drive, Lancaster, welcomes the local community to celebrate the end of its Summer Reading Program on Saturday, Aug. 16, with a special all-ages day of interactive learning and entertainment. The celebration will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. This is a rain-or-shine event.

The free event will include food trucks from The Oasis, Kona Ice, Stoney's Burgers and Fries and Cupcakes by Casey. In addition, there will be lawn games, a magic show, a kids' scavenger hunt, the Bookmobile, a prize wheel and special appearances from Manheim Township Fire Rescue and the Manheim Township Police K-9 Unit.

The schedule of events is as follows: 9:30 a.m., Manheim Township K-9 Unit demonstration and End of Story Walk; 10 a.m., Country Conjuring Magic Show with registration required at http://www.mtpl.info; and noon to 2 p.m., strolling magic by Erick Hershey.
