Education Foundation To Present Golf Classic

The Warwick Education Foundation will hold its 25th annual Golf Classic on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Fairview Golf Course, 2399 Quentin Road, Lebanon. The scramble-format tournament will begin at 1 p.m.

Players will enjoy a light lunch beginning at noon, followed by a round of golf with on-course games and activities. All players will receive multiple gifts and can participate in a drawing for gift cards and certificates. An additional drawing for large prizes will be held.

On-course games will include a putting contest and golf poker, where players can earn cards by hitting the par-3 hole greens. The player with the best five-card hand will win a prize.

Mark Poliski is chairing the 2025 Golf Classic, and event sponsors are Shultz Transportation Company and Groff School Bus Contractors.

This is a milestone year for the event. Mike Vigunas, who co-chaired the inaugural Golf Classic with Ed Albert 25 years ago, noted that the golf tournament was the foundation's first official fundraiser.

Proceeds from the Golf Classic directly support innovative classroom programs and enrichment opportunities for Warwick students in kindergarten through grade 12. Since 1997, Warwick Education Foundation has given more than $4 million to benefit Warwick students.
