On Saturday September 27th, 2025 Grandview Heights will celebrate it's 100th Anniversary! As Manheim Township's first neighborhood, the Township has approved its largest ever residential block party featuring food trucks, vendors, live music and a Kid's Area that will be open to all current and former residents of this great neighborhood. The event will run from noon until 8pm and more information (as well as other great events leading up to the big day) can be found on Grandview100.com. For example there will be a "History of Grandview Heights" talk at Grandview Church on 9/23 by MT Historical Society President Benton Webber.

While this announcement may seems simple enough, the larger story behind the event featuring a Committee of neighborhood residents, Manheim Township, MT Historical Society, LancasterHistory, as well as many neighborhood and local businesses, is quite interesting, Including descendants of the founders of the neighborhood - the McGranns, who owned the farm that preceded the neighborhood, as well as the Slaymaker family that developed the land, there is wealth of history and community involvement that has been nothing short of inspiring!
