World War ll and Hershey: Continued Relevance after 80 Years

Nov 13-11, 2025

Program presented by Professor Ted Herman at the Hershey History Center, 40 Northeast Drive, Hershey, PA 17033. Thursday, November 13, 6pm to 7pm. World War II was the defining moment of the 20th century. It was the greatest triumph and tragedy in world history, and the men and women of Hershey played their part in an event that changed the fabric of American Culture. From business growth and technology advancement, to breaking barriers through civil rights, women in the workforce, and education, war impacted every family in the united states. The war was more than just numbers, and behind every soldier, sailor, marine, and airman who served overseas was an army of people producing war material and making sacrifices to back the attack. Come learn about the service and sacrifice of those at home and abroad, through the men and women who served. Registration is not required. The program is free and open to everyone. Please visit the website at hersheyhistory.org for additional information, and email info@hersheyhistory.org or call the museum at 717-520-0748 with any questions.
