Chiques Church, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, invites community members to attend Impact Sunday on March 30.

The guest speaker will be Matt Maher, pastor of Landmark Church in Ocean City, N.J. He is a former professional soccer player in North Carolina, New Jersey, and Philadelphia; the author of books such as "U May B the Only Bible Somebody Reads: R U Legible?"; and the host of the podcast "Rechurched." His Decisions Determine Destiny program has reached more than 500,000 high school and college students. He is married to Sarah, and they have two children. Participants may attend one or more of three sessions: "The World Apart: Are You Falling Apart or Set Apart?" at 9 a.m.; "Discerning the Devil's Playbook," which examines Scripture and Nazi Germany, at 10:30 a.m.; and "Truth Over Trend: The Ruin and Redemption of March 7," featuring Maher's testimony of his journey from being a soccer player to receiving a prison sentence. Refreshments will be available at 10 a.m., and a light meal will be served at 5:30 p.m.

Chiques Church's upcoming events also include the Neighbors Sharing and Caring meeting for women of all ages and preschool children. The program will occur on Tuesday, April 1, from 9 to 10:45 a.m.

Lu Ann Wise will speak about the omnipresence of God. Topics will include the wonder of nature, stories in history, and acknowledging God's presence in everything one does.

Wise resides in the Manheim area and is retired from teaching in Manheim Central School District. She continues to be active in the school district through coaching track and serving as a volunteer adviser to the Interact Service Club. She also volunteers at Teen Central Youth Center in Manheim. Wise is a member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship and is active in women's and children's ministry. She is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She seeks to encourage women in their walk with God.
