The York County Astronomical Society (YCAS) will hold two Laser Show Weekends featuring a diverse lineup of laser light shows set to music. The shows will take place at the planetarium at the York Learning Center, 301 E. Sixth Ave., York.

The first weekend of shows will take place from Friday, Oct. 24, to Sunday, Oct. 26. Show themes on Oct. 24 will be Laser Beyonce at 7 p.m., Laser Bruno Mars at 8:15 p.m., and Laser Lady Gaga at 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 25, themes will include Laser Taylor Swift at 1:30 p.m.; Laser Billie Eilish at 3 p.m.; Laser Elton John at 4:30 p.m.; Laser The Weeknd at 7 p.m.; Laser "Stranger Things" at 8:30 p.m.; and Laser HalloScream at 9:30 p.m., featuring spooky songs and images. The event will end on Oct. 26 with Laser "Stranger Things" at 1:30 p.m., Laser Halloween at 3 p.m., and Halloween Spooktacular at 4:30 p.m.

Shows will also take place the weekend of Friday, Oct. 31, to Sunday, Nov. 2. The night of Oct. 31 will feature spooky performances, including Laser Halloween 2019 at 7 p.m., Laser Halloween Spooktacular at 7 p.m., Laser "Stranger Things" at 8:15 p.m., and Laser HalloScream at 9:30 p.m. Themes on Saturday, Nov. 1, will be Laser Grateful Dead at 1:30 p.m., Laser Pink Floyd: "Dark Side of the Moon" at 3 p.m., Laser Queen at 4:30 p.m., Laser Rock Monsters at 7 p.m., Laser Metallica at 8:30 p.m., and Laser AC/DC at 9:30 p.m. Nov. 2 will feature Sgt. Pepper's Laser Light Show at 1:30 p.m., Laser Elton John at 3 p.m., and Laser Queen at 4:30 p.m.
