Students of the Month Recognized

Elizabethtown Area Middle School has recognized its November Students of the Month.

Honored students include sixth-graders Alivia Eutsey, Sarah Garcia, Chastine Gump, Malachi McCreary, Jaxon Reynolds, and Jaycen Weber; seventh-graders Brayden Beachler, Cobe Kiehl, Justin Myers, Gretchen Rank, Hannah Stavenski, and Isabelle Williams; and eighth-graders Evan Booth, Serenity Clark, Blake Griffin, Arria Schwartz, Jenna Spade, and Jordan Stoeffler.

Each month, teachers reflect on the students in their teams through the lens of the "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," identifying those who exemplify a particular habit or who have shown growth in that area. For November, the focus was on Habit Two - Begin With the End in Mind. This habit encourages students to set meaningful goals and envision the future they want to create. Students who practice this habit make purposeful decisions; keep their long-term vision in focus; take deliberate steps each day toward achieving their aspirations; and recognize that thoughtful planning and intentional choices pave the way for success in school, relationships, and life.

The Student of the Month program is part of the school's Leader in Me initiative, which emphasizes developing leadership skills, fostering healthy peer relationships, and encouraging students to take ownership of their choices throughout the school year.
