LHF Plans Carol Sing, Candlelight Tours

The Lititz Historical Foundation (LHF), 145 E. Main St., Lititz, has planned several holiday events.

LHF, in conjunction with the Lititz Moravian Archives, will host the annual Community Christmas Carol Sing on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at 2 Church Square in Lititz.

The Moravian Trombone Choir will be on hand, and free song sheets will be handed out to attendees to sing holiday classics. Afterwards, all are welcome to warm up inside Fellowship Hall, where light refreshments will be served. "The Christmas Putz" will also be shown that evening.

The event is free, but donations are appreciated.

LHF will hold its annual Christmas Candlelight Tours on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12 and 13, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Guests will receive a guided tour of the 1792 Johannes Mueller House and will learn the story of Mueller and his family as well as the history and Christmas customs of the early Moravian community of Lititz during the 18th century. Tours, which are 45 minutes in length, will depart every 15 minutes.

Tourgoers may also visit the LHF museum for holiday refreshments and to shop in the gift shop. Ticketholders will receive a discount in the gift shop on the night of their tour.
