The East Petersburg Historical Society will host a Christmas open house on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Daniel Wolf House, which will be decorated for the holiday. The house is located at 1905 State St., East Petersburg.

The event will include refreshments; an electric train display; a silent auction; music; and a display of East Petersburg artifacts, documents and historic photographs.

At the gift shop, visitors will find a variety of items, including wooden replicas of local historical buildings, artwork by Dorothy Hollinger, old calendars with historic photographs, fraktur, East Petersburg Historical Society T-shirts and East Petersburg afghans. There will be a silent auction offering paintings from a local artist and donations from East Petersburg businesses.

Additional parking will be available at the church across Lemon Street from the Daniel Wolf House.

​​In addition, the East Petersburg Historical Society offers programs during its monthly meetings. The society is in need of people who have lived the history of the area and are willing to share their interesting stories of past experiences, past public events and their knowledge of the East Petersburg Borough.
