The Christmas Cookies

        Emily woke up. She was really excited because her mom was baking Christmas cookies with her. Emily ran into the kitchen! She wanted to start right away, but her mom said they had to go to the store to get baking supplies. Emily asked her mom what they needed to get. Her mom said they needed to get measuring spoons, bowls, flour, milk and a whisk. When they got back they started right away. First they put the flour and then the milk. Next, they put the cookies in the oven.

        When the cookies were all done Emily’s mom put them on a tray to cool. Finally it was time to eat them! Emily was so excited! She took a bite. Emily couldn’t wait to bake more cookies tomorrow.
