The Strasburg Senior Citizens raised $579 for the local Santa's Helpers charity, which assists more than 100 children and families in the Lampeter-Strasburg School District with holiday needs. The donation was presented to Johanna Davis of Santa's Helpers at the November meeting. The senior citizens' group also signed more than 600 Christmas cards to be distributed to veterans at the Coatesville VA Medical Center.

Strasburg Seniors is a nonprofit organization chartered in 1966 for the benefit of area senior citizens age 50 and older. Meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday of every month, and the club also holds a summer picnic and yearly Christmas party as well as outings and trips.
