Students of the Month Recognized

The Paradise Rotary Club has recognized three Students of the Month for December, who are all high school juniors. They are Roen Bagley from Conestoga Valley, Elilta Kndshih from Lancaster Mennonite, and Coleston Temple from Pequea Valley.

Roen is the son of Nate Bagley and Cristy Glick of Leola. He has been consistently named to the honor roll, and he is the junior executive of National Honor Society, the media officer for Science National Honor Society, and a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). Roen is a member of the lacrosse team and is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Focus, and the Calvary Church youth group. He was also a team captain when he participated in football and wrestling in ninth grade and has earned two varsity letters.

Elilta is the daughter of Tes and Rose Kndshih of Lancaster. She is the treasurer of Student Council; a Student Ambassador; and a member of the International Student Association, Discovering Paths, Attollo, and the Junior Class Committee. She also sings in the Mennonite Children's Choir of Lancaster and participates in a Bible study every Wednesday. Elilta received a third-place award from the Latin American Alliance in ninth grade for a Spanish poem.

Coleston is the son of Steve and Shelly Temple of Ronks. He is a leader in FCA and a member of FFA and has earned the FFA Greenhand Degree and the FFA Discovery Degree. Coleston also plays on the baseball, basketball, and football teams. He has earned the President's Education Award and been named Athlete of the Year.
