Retirement Community Holds Food Drive

Residential living residents at United Zion Retirement Community came together in December to support neighbors in need through a Reverse Advent Calendar food drive benefiting the Lititz Warwick Community Chest.

Throughout the month, residents collected one designated food item each day. At the end of the month, the community delivered 342 pounds of food to the Lititz Warwick Community Chest.

The Lititz Warwick Community Chest serves as the local food bank providing assistance to individuals and families residing within the Warwick School District.

Residents shared that the Reverse Advent Calendar challenge was a meaningful and rewarding way to give back, combining daily reflection with tangible acts of generosity. United Zion Retirement Community stated that its residents demonstrated multiple core values through this gesture, including community, compassion, and stewardship.

Established in 1905, United Zion Retirement Community has a long-standing tradition of service, with a faith-inspired mission to provide a community where residents thrive by focusing on independence; dignity; and physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
