Presentation Set on Family's Story

The Serving Seniors at Lighthouse Church, 1279 Main St., East Earl, will meet on Thursday, March 19, at 11 a.m.

Joy Kelly-Bolton and her sister Sharon will share their family's heritage. In 1685, the Ferree family escaped persecution in France by fleeing to London. William Penn granted the family a tract of land near Lancaster, and in 1708, the Ferrees arrived in America and named the tract of land Paradise. Six generations later, Mary Bolton attended a Christian & Missionary Alliance camp, where she felt God calling her to serve as a missionary to China. While serving in Tibet, her husband and baby died, but she continued to share the Gospel with thousands of villagers in the mountains of Tibet, Burma, and China. Two recently published books, "Call to China" and "Someone Must Go," share the family's story.

The event is open to the public, and lunch will be served.
