Women's Group to Meet

The Millersville Woman's Club will meet on Tuesday, March 17, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 222 N. George St., Millersville.

Rosanne Sietins, a volunteer at the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, will present "Getting Acquainted With Elephants." She will explain why elephants are identified as a "keystone species." If a keystone species disappears through extinction or removal, the entire ecosystem would be dramatically affected.

Sietins has a Master of Business Administration in International Finance and has worked on a team to develop the debit card and implementation of the first ATM network in Chicago. She spent 20 years as a senior employee relations consultant for the Tennessee Valley Authority before retiring. Since 2002, she has volunteered at the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. In 2022, the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution presented her with two national awards: Excellence in Community Service and Excellence in Conservation.
